Time and Resource Utilizing Best Practice

Time and resource utilization is a science. Once you understand it you can feel its effectiveness. The key to managing time is that first you learn yourself. Ask some questions and you may fully understand what is the best time to perform more critical work or decision making. 

Best Time For Most Critical Task

Are you a student ? or worker ? or businessman ? are you:
  • A Morning guy ?
  • Night Owl ?
  • Evening shaky ?
  • Noon Hunter ?

A Morning Guy

First check yourself. Do you enjoy working early in the morning with a coffee cup in your hand ? Or it's too slow to be focused on something. It varies person to person.
After a good night's sleep if you are fresh and attentive then it's the best time to start your most critical work.
If today is the holiday then start your day like normal routine day and do your critical work as early as possible. If you have urgent important matrix of your tasks which you may have extract from your goals then choose the most critical task now.








Night Owl

A phone call, cell phone ringing, your mom is calling "hey guy!! Just go to shop and get some milk for infant". If you have some sets of urgent and important tasks and you are not the multi tasking guy then sometime it may be a problem for you that what to do now, how to save the time? .

I will never forget those days of school when i should not cope the pace of my assignments in afternoon  but i felt more focused at night.

In business world if tomorrow is a day off or you can afford to join office a bit late (Don't make it a habit) . But for some business critical decision making is desirous and it's urgent and important equally, now it's the best time to do it. Keep in mind if you are not the night owl then do not try it ... remember.

Evening Shaky

Do you like sun set ? Or sitting/walking on grass or on sea shore, bay or canal alone? 
Just for couple of minutes you have to decide either this or that or it's a life plan. You are feeling much relax in a cool wind breeze. You have enough oxygen and energy. That will boost your mind power and you are in a good position to think about those issues which you were not able to resolve in a noisy environment and may be due to lake of energy. Become an Evening Shaky and you may find the good solution right now.


Noon Hunter

It's a mid day you have completed all of the scheduled meetings, its time to re-engineer some of the business process, fine tune something which is most problematic and necessary to fixed now. If you woke up late and are not feeling hunger or in a full energy, then it's the best time to set up such tasks.




What about Resources ?   

Well, when you will realize that's the best time of this critical task. Then it will minimize the resources. how

If you have chosen the wrong time without understanding yourself then you will waste the resources. You will loose productivity and overall failure chances are obvious.

Do You Have A Perfect Life Plan ?

Goals:

You are setting your goals throughout the life like passing high school, college, buying/selling homes, marriage, job, business etc. You may have a list of Short, long and medium term goals with some automated tools of PC or Cell Phones. Like I am using
Goal Tracker for android. In this app you can organize your goals in different categories like I did. See snapshot below.

Issues: 

In order to achieve your goal/s and targets, you are undergo some problems or issues. Which you are solving yourself or delivering some tasks to your partners or workers, it depends which strategy you are following, you may have urgent/important metrics. Various tools apps are available for task tracking like Mindjet Tasks both for web and mobile. Issues may distract you from your targets if not properly handled. Here you require some investments but before that you need more research so that wastage of investment should overcome.

Hobbies:


Also invest in your hobbies. This will refresh your mind when you are exhausted or in tension and nothing working for a while and you may require some refreshment to boost your energy. So that you kick start some more challenging work. Just list down your hobbies on paper or in your favorite spreadsheet, if you are looking online tools then Google Drive is a good option, where all the documents are under single roof and accessible from everywhere. So guys, share your hobbies in comments.

Success:



Your goals are achieved and you are enjoying your success. But do not forget to reward yourself. It may be a tour, vacation, picnic, party or anything. Do your housekeeping at this stage, learn from your success and challenges. Review your overall strategy and plan. Be ready for the next journey.
